Check out the Orientation videos online at http://www.nicholas.duke.edu/insider/multimedia/2009-orientation-week and share your comments.
Pre-Orientation Days will be held Wednesday, August 12 through Saturday, August 15. New professional masters students who arrive in Durham early and want to get acclimated before the official orientation week begins, please plan to attend. All events are optional; however, all students are encouraged to attend. Orientation Week officially begins Monday, August 17; the first formal session is at 9 a.m. Orientation packets and continental breakfast will be available beginning at 8 a.m. on August 17 in the Hall of Science located in the B wing of the Levine Science Research Center building, which houses the NicholasSchool of the Environment. Our goal for orientation week is to assist you with becoming familiar with Duke and the NicholasSchool of the Environment and to provide opportunities for you to get to know the faculty, staff and each other. During orientation you will learn more about registration, special events, assistantship assignments, and other maters related to your academic studies. We strongly encourage your participation in all of the orientation sessions. Official orientation week is scheduled to conclude on Friday, August 21.
